• Database Applications in Scientific and Engineering fields (eg. Bioinformatics, CAD/CAM databases, etc.)
• Data dictionaries in a DBMS
• Incomplete information in relational databases
• Data compression in multimedia systems
• Relations versus objects
• Data compression in commercial DBMSs
• Backup and recovery in databases
• Searching image databases
• Encryption and its role in database security
• Triggers in active databases
• Supporting time in a database system
• TSQL (Temporal SQL)
• Database issues in wireless computing

Remarks:

• Your paper must have at least three published references, at least one of which is either a conference paper, journal paper or a technical report.
• Be careful not to take your material directly from the references.
• The best way is to read the articles, take notes, and then write your paper.
• Also remember to use citations in the paper to the references.
