CSc 3210 Computer Organization and Programming
Instructions for submitting programs
- I am going to assume that all of you will have your own
copies of the programs in floppy disks.
- You will be running Windows'95 when you login to any PC
in the PC-lab. Click on the icon for Explorer. This
will pop up a screen (window).
- On the left is a list of the main drives/directories on the
system. If your programs are on a floppy, then click on
the line that says A: .... This will pop up all the
contents of the floppy on the right hand part of the window.
- Clicking on the program you want transferred, use the Copy
option to copy this file. Note that if you use the
Cut option, you will no longer have your own copy
of the programs.
- The destination point (your folder in my storage bin) is at
the location
csslab1\app\Public\Classes\CSc\Raj\3210\last-name
- Note that you just need to click your way through each directory.
The last folder will be in the format last-name.
Once you have reached this folder, use the Paste option
to paste the file you had cut onto this folder. Note that you
will need to double click on your folder to open it.
- This destination point is for your individual use throughout the
semester.
- If the operation was a success, you will see an icon for the
file you transferred appear in the destination folder.
